Add the Home Screen widget

1. Touch and hold an empty area of the iPhone Home Screen.
2. Tap Edit, then Add Widget.
3. Search for YiYu.
4. Choose the small or medium widget and tap Add Widget.

If the widget has not refreshed

1. Open YiYu and confirm today's idiom appears.
2. Return to the Home Screen and wait briefly for iOS to refresh the widget.
3. If needed, remove the widget and add it again.
4. Restart the iPhone if the system widget gallery itself is not updating.

History and Explore

Idioms you open are saved locally in History. Open the History tab, then choose Explore to search the complete offline collection by Chinese characters, pinyin, English meaning, or tags.

To erase History, open the History tab, tap the menu in the top-right corner, and choose Clear History.

Offline use

YiYu's idioms, explanations, examples, and widget data are included with the app. The core experience does not require an internet connection or an account.
